Saudi Arabia Packs Luggage of Failure in Yemen

Wednesday 22 April 2015
Saudi Arabia Packs Luggage of Failure in Yemen

Alwaght- Saudi-led coalition announced the cessation of its "Decisive Storm Operation" over Yemen. The coalition’s spokesman, Ahmed Al-Assiri, told a press briefing in the Saudi capital, the end of the operation and is now switching into a new phase codenamed "Restoring Hope".  The new phase aims to restore the political process in accordance with the Security Council resolution.

Al-Assiri ridiculously claimed “All goals set by the 'Decisive Storm' operation have been achieved.”

The decision to end the offensive comes following a request by the Yemeni government, "the Saudi-led coalition spokesman added.

Hours before Al-Assiri’s announcement, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hussein Amir Abdollahian said, “Following the efforts made, we are optimistic that the military strikes against Yemen come to a halt in coming hours.”

Abdollahian further added, “We are optimistic that we will witness different Yemeni groups gather around the negotiating table in the next few hours and endeavor to strengthen the political process in the country.”

It is noteworthy mentioning that Abdollahian’s statement came after Iran has sent a 4-step Yemen peace initiative to the UN chief last week.

Among the first international reactions to the Saudi announcement, resources revealed that Moscow is preparing for a draft resolution regarding Yemen in the Security Council in line with the Iranian initiative.

Saudi Arabia Defeat by all standards after about 2415 sorties carried out by Saudi-led coalition over Yemen. The Saudi regime's gain in invasion of Yemen was massacre of thousands of defenseless civilians and destruction of the country's vital public infrastructures.

Saudi regime claimed that it launches war on Yemen to reinstall fugitive Yemeni president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, but decreased its goals to “protecting Saudi Arabia from a threat”. In the beginning of the aggression Saudi regime set two goals, first restoring so-called legitimate president and second pushing Ansarullah Movement back to Saada. Did they achieve their goals, as Al Assiri claims? The answer is that they are frustrated and smitten in front of the firmness, steadfastness and scarification of the proud Yemeni people.

Trying to justify Saudi's failure against Yemeni's resistance, the Saudi Ministry of Defense claimed  they have achieved their goals, namely “the destruction of heavy weapons and ballistic missiles in the possession of the Yemeni Army and popular committees, and the removal of the threat for the security of Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries.”

However, Simply this is the case of victory of resistance over oppression, something that repeatedly occurs all over the world. Hezbollah's victory over Israeli regime during Zionists invasion of Lebanon in July 2006 was of that kind.
