Israeli Strike on South Lebanon Kills One

ALWAGHT- Drone and helicopter strikes by Israel hit the towns of Bint Jbeil and Blida, amid a broader escalation by occupation forces and repeated violations of southern border accords.

Israeli forces have intensified attacks along Lebanon’s southern border, carrying out strikes that hit civilian vehicles, infrastructure, and public areas. In Bint Jbeil, an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a car, killing one person and adding to the growing pattern of drone strikes deep inside southern Lebanon, raising fears over deliberate targeting of civilian movement and essential services.

In Blida, another Israeli drone dropped an explosive on an bulldozer, setting it ablaze. Although no injuries were reported, the strike is seen as part of a broader effort to damage reconstruction and infrastructure work in the region. These incidents come amid increasing concerns that Israel is widening its scope of targets to include equipment vital for local development and recovery.

The latest escalation follows Sunday’s deadly attack in al-Mansouri, where school principal Mohammad Shuweikh was killed in an airstrike. Additional incidents included an Israeli FPV drone dropping a flashbang on civilians in al-Dhayrah—causing no casualties—and a smoke bomb strike on a water well in Odaisseh. Lebanese officials have condemned the attacks and called for protection of civilians, schools, and public services.
