A senior Iranian military spokesman, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, declared that all weapons systems displayed at a recent military exhibition were developed domestically. He stated these technologies were the result of work by Iran's own scientists and defense institutions, underscoring a message of self-reliance.
Shekarchi claimed that during a recent conflict, Iran's adversaries were decisively defeated on the battlefield despite their advanced defenses and external support. He asserted that the opposing side was ultimately compelled to seek a ceasefire through diplomatic appeals.
The general concluded that the confrontation demonstrated the effectiveness of Iran's missile and drone capabilities, which he said allowed Iran to control the conflict's momentum. As a result, he noted, the armed forces have since remedied past deficiencies and are now in a state of significantly heightened readiness.
