ALWAGHT- Russia’s Defense Ministry says air defense units intercepted 130 fixed-wing Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple regions and over the Caspian Sea.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack targeting multiple locations, including Rostov-on-Don, Kamensk-Shakhtinsk, Novoshakhtinsk, and nine districts in the Rostov region. Air defenses intercepted dozens of drones over Russian territory and the Caspian Sea.
Rostov Governor Yury Slyusar said the strikes damaged residential buildings, vehicles, and a power supply line. One civilian suffered burns to his hands, while infrastructure damage disrupted water supplies in several neighborhoods and nearby settlements.
Russian officials condemned the attacks as terrorism aimed at civilian and energy infrastructure, accusing Ukraine of striking deep inside Russia with Western-backed support. Moscow framed the incident within the broader context of its ongoing military operation launched in 2022 and escalating tensions with Kiev and its allies.
