ALWAGHT- IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said discussions to address Iran’s nuclear program are continuing.
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said talks aimed at resolving Iran’s nuclear issue are continuing, according to an interview with an Argentine newspaper. He claimed Iran holds about 400 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60 percent, a level he described as close to weapons-grade and requiring strict technical oversight.
Grossi stressed that the full return of IAEA inspectors and the resumption of monitoring under existing agreements are essential to produce credible assessments of Iran’s nuclear program. He said reliable technical judgments are not possible without effective verification and access.
He added that negotiations are ongoing with Iran and other international actors, including the United States, European countries, Russia, and China, to reach a sustainable and verifiable framework. Grossi emphasized that these efforts are technical in nature and focused on reducing nuclear proliferation risks.
