Enemies to Be Surprised at Phenomenal Level of Progress in Iran’s Defense Sector: Gen. Jazayeri

Alwaght- A high ranking Iranian military commander says enemies are not aware of the country's military might adding that they would be surprised by the defense capabilities of the Islamic Republic.

“The enemies of the Islamic Republic, and on top of them the Americans, Zionists and Britons, know of part of Iran’s power in different fields such as defense and missile (power),” Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said in an interview with Iran-based Tasnim News Agency.

He pointed out that since Iran relies on indigenous capabilities developing its defense industry, the enemies are not able to know about the country's military power. He added that Iran's military capabilities will remain classified unless the situation changes.

Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said if Iran is compelled to use its military might, the enemies would be surprised at the phenomenal level of advancement in Iran's defense sector.

General Jazayeri further said that Iran has very impeccable deterrence power and can defend itself adding that in accordance with its defense doctrine which is based on Islamic teachings, Iran will never initiate a conflict.

In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and reached self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.

The Islamic Republic has repeatedly assured other nations, especially regional neighbors, that its military might poses no threat to other countries, stating that its defense doctrine is merely based on deterrence.
