ALWAGHT- Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has reaffirmed the country’s unwavering resolve to resist and confront foreign aggression aimed at halting its pro-Palestinian efforts.
Abdulrahman al-Ahnoumi, director of Yemen's General Corporation for Radio and Television, emphasized that Yemen's steadfastness remains unbroken despite numerous past airstrikes. He stressed that the Yemeni people would continue to support Gaza, no matter the cost, and would not be deterred by foreign aggression, including ongoing US, UK, and Israeli attacks. The remarks came after the US carried out airstrikes on Yemen and Ansarullah's threat to target US military assets in the region.
Yemen's military response began in October 2023 after Israel launched its brutal war on Gaza, leading Yemen to target Israeli sites and vessels carrying supplies. Despite a ceasefire agreement in January, Israel's violations led Yemen to resume targeting Israeli vessels. In retaliation, the US imposed sanctions, with President Trump authorizing the use of "overwhelming lethal force" to pressure Yemen to lift the ban on Israeli ships.
Al-Ahnoumi dismissed US threats as psychological warfare, intended to weaken Yemen’s resolve. He affirmed that Yemen would not back down from its support of Gaza and would continue retaliatory actions until the siege on Gaza ends. Yemeni forces have firmly responded to the US escalation, successfully targeting a US aircraft carrier and thwarting enemy attacks on Yemen.
