Alwaght- Lebanese Resistance Movement, Hezbollah has condemned the massacre of hundreds of Nigerian Shiite Muslims by the country's army.
In a statement on Thursday, Hezbollah further slammed the shooting and subsequent incarceration of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky the leader of Nigeria's Islamic Movement saying the move raises questions about the motive of the troops which committed the crime and the apparent the regional and international support in perpetration of what amounts to genocide against the country's Shiite Muslims.
Hezbollah further urged Nigerian authorities to perform a transparent probe, punish all the culprits, release sheikh Zakzaky and the detainees deliver the martyrs' corpses to their families, and use wisdom in order to treat this bleeding wound.
Hezbollah finally offered the deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded and an immediate release for the arrested "if Holy God wills."

Nigerian soldiers opened fire on the people attending a religious ceremony at Hussainiyyah Baqeeyatullah, a religious center belonging to the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN).
On Sunday the army ferociously raided the resident of Shiite Muslims leader Sheikh Zakzaky and while inside the residence, the army massacred hundreds of people trying to protect the Islamic Movement leader.
