ALWAGHT- Israeli warplanes have bombed two buildings in southern Lebanon, further violating the fragile ceasefire with the Arab nation.
Israeli forces launched multiple attacks on southern Lebanon, including a drone strike on residences in Kfar Kila and an offensive in Kfar Shuba, damaging homes and cars. Israeli warplanes also broke the sound barrier over Western Bekaa, while a helicopter dropped sound bombs on civilians in Yaroun. No casualties were immediately reported.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces fired warning shots at a UNIFIL patrol near Rmeish along the Blue Line, violating UN Security Council Resolution 1701. UNIFIL also reported that Israeli soldiers targeted peacekeepers with laser beams. UN spokesperson Andrea Tenenti condemned the attacks, emphasizing the risks posed to UN personnel.
Despite a ceasefire agreement on November 27 following heavy Israeli losses, near-daily assaults on Lebanon continue. Israel remains in occupation of five key areas in southern Lebanon, defying Lebanon’s call for withdrawal. Beirut has vowed to take all necessary measures to expel the occupying forces.
