Alwaght- Israeli warplanes launched a missile attack on Damascus suburbs at down of Wednesday, Syrian media reported, targeting a government post.
“The Israeli enemy on Wednesday at dawn launched an aerial aggression with missiles targeting one of the posts in Damascus Countryside, and only material damage was reported,” the website of the Syrian Arab News Agency read.
“At about 02:58 a.m. today, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial aggression with a number of missiles from the direction of northern occupied Palestine targeting one of the posts in Damascus Countryside in Zakyia area, and only material damage was reported,” a military source told SANA.
The attack is second in less than a week on the positions of the Syrian government in apparent violation of the international law about a sovereign state.
On October 30, the Syrian army’s air defenses repelled an Israeli missile strike from the direction of northern occupied Palestine on some of the military posts near Damascus. Two soldiers were reportedly injured and material damage was caused by the attack.
Since the military intervention of the West led by the US in Syria in 2014 under the cover of fight ISIS terrorist group, Israeli attacks under the excuse of “preemptive measures” mounted.
Syria filed complaints several times to the UN but the international community failed to react under the American pressure.
