According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, a Palestinian was killed by Israeli regime forces in the occupied West Bank on Saturday, bringing the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces since Oct. 1 to 72.
Meanwhile at least 2,617 Palestinians have been shot and injured by Israeli forces using live and rubber bullets in the month of October.
According to Palestinian Red Crescent spokesperson, over 760 Palestinians were shot with live rounds across the occupied Palestinian territory, while another 1,857 were hit with rubber-coated steel bullets.
Another 5,645 Palestinians sustained injuries, including burns from tear gas canisters and excessive tear gas inhalation.
Elsewhere Israeli regime forces killed a Palestinian youth in Sair town to the north of al-Khalil Sunday afternoon.A terse statement for the Palestinian ministry of health said that Israeli regime forces fired at a Palestinian young man, north of al-Khalil, and prevented ambulance crews from extending help to him, which led to his martyrdom.
Hebrew media as usual claimed that the youth tried to stab one of the occupation troops, which prompted them to shoot him down.
However, eyewitnesses on the scene said that the 27-year-old Hassan Farroukh was gunned down while standing in vineyards at the bypass road 60 near the entrance of Sair village.
The protests that have swept the occupied Palestinian territory since the beginning of October have been referred to as the al-Quds Intifada. Israeli regime forces have killed over 72 Palestinians, including children and a pregnant women since the current Intifada began on 1st October.
The recent al-Quds Intifada has been triggered to end the temporal and spatial division of al-Aqsa Mosque, the Israeli settlement construction, the Judaization schemes, and Israeli regime's brutal attacks on Palestinians.
Late October, senior Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, Ismail Haniya said that the Palestinian Intifada or uprising in occupied al-Quds cannot be stopped by any power in the world.
Haniyeh added that: "We are ready for political and popular unity at all levels and willing to agree on a united national strategy to protect the intifada, regain Palestinians' rights, and adhere to the inalienable nationalistic principles."
