Alwaght-The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has reassembled a spy drone belonging to the Israeli regime.
In a Wednesday statement, Hamas announced that it had successfully taken control of an Israeli drone that was currently operational and being used by its military wing, the Ezzedeen Al-Qassam Brigades .
The Gaza-based resistance movement said that it has dismantled and reassembled the drone, which crashed landed into Gaza in late July.
In a statement through its official website, Hamas said that it had managed to take the Skylark 1 drone and make its services operational.
"This is a great achievement... and a gift to the Palestinian people," the statement said. "This demonstrates the strength of our people and its resistance."
Al-Aqsa television channel aired a video that showed Hamas resistance fighters using the drone.
Last week eyewitnesses said the Israeli regime drone crashed near the Sudaniyah district in northern Gaza Strip, the Palestine 48 website reported.
Mid-April this year Hamas inaugurated its first indigenously built drone, Ababil 1, as a symbol of the Palestinian resistance.
The inauguration of the drone coincided with the 11th death anniversary of Abdul Aziz Al-Rantisi, one the founders of Hamas.
