Alwaght- US-led coalition has killed at least 24 people in its fresh airstrikes against Syria’s eastern province of Deir ez-Zor.
Syria's official news agency SANA reported on Tuesday that a series of airstrikes targeted an internally displaced persons' camp in Deir ez-Zor's eastern region of Dhahret al-Allouni.
The attacks also injured a large number of people and destroyed or severally damaged civilian property.
The incident took place just hours after Damascus called on the United Nations Security Council to act against the insistence of the US-led coalition purportedly fighting the ISIS Takfiri terrorist group on perpetrating massacres against the Syrian nation.
Syria asks the UN Security Council to act and stop war crimes being committed by the rogue US-led coalition against Syrian people.
On February 25, Syria’s official news agency SANA reported that US-led airstrikes had targeted the villages of al-Sha'afa and Dharat Allouni in the country’s eastern province of Deir ez-Zor, killing 29 civilians and injuring dozens of others.
The US-led coalition has been conducting airstrikes against what are said to be ISIS targets inside Syria since September 2014 without any authorization from the Damascus government or a UN mandate.
The military alliance has repeatedly been accused of targeting and killing civilians. It has also been largely incapable of achieving its declared goal of destroying ISIS.
