Saudi Regimes Kills Yemenis; UN Sanctions Ansarullah

Alwaght- While Saudi-led coalition is pounding Yemeni infrastructures and is killing civilians, the U.N. Security Council is set to vote on Tuesday on a resolution to blacklist the Ansarullah movement and impose an arms embargo on them.

The draft resolution, drafted by Jordan, being put to the vote on Tuesday envisions an asset freeze and a travel ban on Ahmed Saleh, the former head of Yemen’s elite Republican Guard, and on Abdulmalik al-Houthi, a top leader of the Ansarullah movement, alongside several other top figures challenging Yemeni president’s rule, according to a Reuters diplomatic source.

It was unclear how Russia would vote on the draft. The Russian U.N. mission declined to comment on Monday on whether it would support the resolution, abstain or veto.

Saudi regime launched air strikes against neighboring Yemen last month with a coalition made up PGCC countries as well as intelligence and logistic support of US and some regional countries that killed over 2500 Yemenis dead and grazed Yemen's infrastructures including hospitals, schools, shops, gas stations, markets, stadiums and mosques.
