Alwaght- Yemeni army attacked Saudi Arabia's military positions and killed 18 soldiers.
Yemeni army supported by Ansarullah resistance movement attacked the Samtah and Tawal districts in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern region of Jizan on Saturday.
Four other Saudi soldiers were also injured during the attacks.
Yemeni mortar fire also hit the kingdom on Friday and left 14 other Saudis wounded.
Separately, the Yemeni army foiled an attempt by Saudi mercenaries to advance in the Sabrin neighborhood of Yemen’s northern Jawf Province and killed dozens of militants.
The attacks came in response to the airstrikes by Saudi jets that bombarded the district of Salif and Navy University both in the western province of Hudaydah.
Similar Saudi airstrikes in Bayt al-Faqih district in the same province left three Yemenis dead and two more injured on Friday.
On 26 March 2015, Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and Britain, formed a coalition of the Arab countries to attack Yemen in a bid to undermine Ansarullah movement and to restore power to refugee president Mansour Hadi, who lives in Riyadh.
Riyadh's 19-month-old aggression has so far claimed lives of about 10,000 and injured over 16,000. The indiscriminate Saudi strikes have displaced more than 2.5 million and caused a humanitarian catastrophe in the Arab state.
