ALWAGHT- According to the Yemeni military, a sensitive target was struck deep inside the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories in response to Israel's actions in Gaza and at the al-Aqsa Mosque in East al-Quds.
Yemen’s military spokesperson, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile was used to target Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport. The missile strike, which occurred near Lod, reportedly caused mass panic among settlers, sending hundreds of thousands into bomb shelters. Saree emphasized that the operation achieved its goal and reaffirmed Yemen's continued support for the Palestinian people in light of Israel’s actions in Gaza and al-Aqsa Mosque.
Saree stated that Yemen would persist in its retaliatory attacks until Israel ends its military campaign in Gaza and lifts the siege on the territory. He declared that Yemen remains committed to its cause despite any consequences. The missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport came just two days after Yemen claimed responsibility for drone attacks on Israeli targets in Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, and Eilat.
Although Israeli authorities said their defense systems intercepted the missile and no injuries were reported, the attack triggered widespread alarms and panic. Yemen’s Armed Forces have maintained that their operations are acts of solidarity with Gaza, where over 61,000 Palestinians — mostly women and children — have been killed in the ongoing conflict.
