Alwaght- Over two hundred bodies of people massacred by ISIS terrorist group have been found in a mass grave in Syria’s Dayr al-Zawr Province, SHAFAQNA reported .
The 230 bodies were found by relatives of the victims who were all from the Sheitaat tribe, said the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Wednesday .
The latest discovery brings the total of Sheitaat tribe members killed by Takfiri terrorists during their summer assault on Dayr al-Zawr to 900 .
The UK-based group went on to say that a "vast majority" of the victims were civilians who were massacred in cold blood following the tribe’s rise up against ISIS terrorist group .
The tribe members found the mass grave after returning to their villages following months of displacement caused by the ISIS terrorists' atrocities .
According to the observatory, hundreds more of the Sheitaat tribe members are still missing .
The ISIS terrorists currently control some parts of Syria and Iraq. They have been committing heinous crimes in the captured areas, including mass executions and beheadings .
More than 200,000 people have died so far in the conflict in Syria, according to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Zeid al-Hussein .
Over 7.2 million Syrians have also become internally displaced due to the ongoing Syrian crisis, according to the UN .
