ALWAGHT- Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, urged the Iranian Armed Forces to enhance their capabilities, condemning the hypocrisy of powerful nations that possess deadly weapons while preventing others from developing their own defense forces.
On April 13, Ayatollah Khamenei, the commander-in-chief of Iran's Armed Forces, met with military commanders in Tehran to mark the Iranian New Year. During the meeting, he emphasized that the Armed Forces are the nation's key defense against any aggressor and stressed the importance of continuous strengthening in both military preparedness and vigilance, acknowledging existing economic challenges that require attention.
The Leader outlined the need for both "hardware" and "software" preparedness within the Armed Forces. He emphasized that, beyond physical armament, faith in the military’s mission and the belief in its just cause are crucial, especially given the external efforts to undermine Iran. He also pointed out that the Islamic Republic’s commitment to independence and its Islamic identity provokes hostility from its enemies, particularly those who see Iran's refusal to rely on foreign powers as a threat.
Khamenei also condemned the double standards of global powers who possess destructive weapons while denying others the right to develop their own defense capabilities. He highlighted the importance of unity, faith, and determination within Iran's military and society, praising the enthusiasm and motivation of the country's youth. He concluded by thanking the families of Armed Forces members for their support and recognizing the broader regional resistance movements, particularly in Gaza and Lebanon, for their fight against oppression.
