ALWAGHT- The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force has outfitted its wide-body combat drone, "Gaza," with advanced anti-jamming and anti-spoofing systems.
At the LAAD 2025 defense expo in Brazil, Iran participated for the first time, showcasing its military technology at the 15th edition of the event held in Rio de Janeiro from April 1 to 4. Among the highlights at the Iranian Defense Ministry’s pavilion was a replica of the Shahed-149 "Gaza" wide-body combat drone.
The exhibited drone featured updated components, including advanced antennas and navigation receivers aimed at countering radio frequency jamming. These enhancements build on the anti-jamming and anti-spoofing technologies previously used in Iran’s Shahed-129 drones, bolstering the Shahed-149’s effectiveness in electronic warfare scenarios.
Unveiled in 2021, the Shahed-149 is Iran’s largest combat drone, equipped with a turboprop engine and capable of carrying 13 bombs. With a wingspan of 21 meters and a payload capacity of 500 kilograms, it can fly for 35 hours at altitudes up to 35,000 feet and has a range of 2,000 kilometers. The drone is designed for combat, reconnaissance, surveillance, and humanitarian missions.
