ALWAGHT- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that consultations are underway to determine the venue for the next round of talks between Iran and the United States.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei announced on Sunday that the location for the next round of Iran-US talks has yet to be finalized. Discussions are ongoing to determine whether the negotiations will take place again in Oman or at a different venue, though Oman will continue its role as a mediator.
Baghaei emphasized that the talks will remain indirect, with Omani mediation continuing to shape the structure and format of the negotiations. The focus remains on maintaining this framework moving forward.
On Saturday, Iranian and US delegations held a round of indirect negotiations in Muscat, mediated by Oman’s foreign minister. Led by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress, and the next round is set for April 19.
