ALWAGHT- Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, provided details about the upcoming round of talks between Tehran and Washington.
During his weekly press conference, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, addressed various foreign policy topics, including the upcoming round of talks with the United States. He emphasized that while the location of the talks is not important, the format will remain indirect with Oman acting as a mediator. The final decision on the location will be made after receiving feedback from Oman.
Baghaei responded to contradictory statements made by American officials, suggesting that such inconsistencies are a key reason for holding indirect negotiations. He made it clear that Iran will not accept negotiations while the US continues its policy of pressure, sanctions, and threats.
Baghaei reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful, and the country’s primary demand is the removal of the harsh sanctions imposed over the years. He criticized the use of Iran's nuclear issue as a pretext for creating unnecessary crises and reaffirmed that Iran’s positions on the matter have been clearly stated multiple times.
