Alwaght-Due to the awful social and economic conditions in Yemen and government's inefficiency to improve them, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen's Ansarullah urged Yemenis to take part in a mass peaceful anti-government protest and consequently move toward Sana'a for demanding the dismissal of Prime Minister Mohammad Basindawa's government and pleading long-standing reforms in the government of Yemen.
Sunday, in a televised speech carried by Al-Massira channel, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Ansarullah movement warned the government about another revolution in Yemen. He stated some reforms are needed in government to improve the life quality in Yemen. ''If the government does not fulfill Yemenis' reforms, nationwide revolution of Yemenis will overthrow the government,'' al-Houthi added.
According to Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, this awful condition in Yemen is because of inability and incompetence of the government in running affairs related to the different facets of Yemenis' lives. He proposed Yemenis two ways for solving their problems, rising for a better life or staying in an inglorious life.
Abdul-Malik al-Houthi urged Yemeni to take to streets in all cities of Yemen in particular the capital Sana'a. According to the rationale of Ansarullah's leader, the rising and revolution of Yemenis will lead to the significant change in this land. He warned the climax of this story of Yemenis will be on Friday. According to his warning, '' if the government wants to fight against the peaceful protest of Yemenis, Ansarullah and Abdul-Malik al-Houthi will not be silent.''
According to his words, Basindawa's government of incompetence and making false promises are among the main reasons of poverty and unemployment of Yemenis. According to the contemporary history of Yemen, President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and former president Ali Abdullah Saleh have been unable to solve even the basic problems of Yemenis due to their incompetence & inability and also Al-Saud's meddling in Yemen's domestic affairs.
Despite the massive oil reserve in Yemen, more than fifty percent of Yemenis are unemployed according to the unpublished statistics. The problems of Yemenis are mainly due to the following reasons:
1. Corruption in Yemen's government: Widespread corruption in Yemen's government can be considered the main reason of Yemenis' rising and revolution.
2. America's and Al-Saud's interference: The government in Yemen is supported and funded by Al-Saud and America. In fact, the president of Yemen is serving these two regimes' interests rather than their own national interests.
3. Wahhabism and Extremism: Al-Saud is trying to publicize Whahabism and extremism in this land instead of the existing religions and thoughts of Yemenis, i.e. Shiite and Shafii, a moderate Sunni sect.
4. Lack of a powerful parliament: the parliament does not play a significant role in political affairs of the country. On the other hand, the president has seized the power and imposed its hegemony on the Yemenis' representatives in parliament.
Due to the aforementioned reasons and evidences, the leader of Ansarullah, tried to address all the groups, sects, and ethnicities of Yemen to take them into the streets for a mass anti-government protest. According to his words, the only solution for solving the main problems of Yemenis including poverty and unemployment is toppling the government.
