ALWAGHT- Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari, Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, stated that the Army has developed systems to counter micro air vehicles (MAVs) and has achieved success in this area.
Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari, Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, spoke on Sunday at an internal ceremony in Tehran, outlining key developments in Iran’s military capabilities. He emphasized that the Army’s drone units are fully operational and integrated across all levels—strategic, operational, and tactical—highlighting their readiness to respond swiftly and decisively to any aggression.
Heidari referenced a directive from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, which mandates that the Iranian Army must equip itself with advanced weaponry featuring long-range capabilities, smart technology, and the ability to operate within integrated network systems. According to Heidari, the military is actively pursuing these goals, accelerating efforts to develop and deploy such sophisticated arms.
In particular, the Commander stressed significant progress in the field of micro air vehicles (MAVs). The Army has not only advanced in producing these systems but has also enhanced their operational use and coordination, bolstering Iran’s defense and surveillance capabilities against aerial threats. Heidari reaffirmed that all branches of Iran’s Armed Forces, especially the Ground Forces, maintain high vigilance and preparedness to deliver a powerful and effective response to any potential threats or incursions. This stance serves as a clear warning that any acts of aggression against Iran will be met with strong retaliation, aimed at deterring enemies and ensuring national security.
This emphasis on self-reliance and technological advancement reflects a broader strategic posture within Iran’s military doctrine, prioritizing indigenous development of sophisticated weapon systems and ensuring readiness against evolving threats in the region.
