The official expressed hope that recent US troop movements are not meant for a real military confrontation but warned both the United States and Israel against such actions.
He noted that if Iran were to collapse, it would lead to the collapse of the entire region, something Israel is seeking to avoid. The official also emphasized that Iran is currently far stronger than during the 12-day war and there would be no longer any element of surprise.
