ALWAGHT- According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, the formalities for the new Iranian ambassador to Lebanon have been finalized, and he will shortly be dispatched to his mission.
Visiting Mehr headquarters, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei addressed several issues regarding Iran’s foreign policy. On the Zionist regime’s recognition of Somaliland, he said Iran’s condemnation aligns with the positions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the African Union, viewing Israel’s actions as an attempt to destabilize Islamic countries in the Horn of Africa, Red Sea, and Gulf of Aden regions.
Responding to claims about Iran’s nuclear program reported by CNN, Baghaei dismissed Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s statements as a long-standing “big lie,” emphasizing that Israel has for decades falsely accused Iran of pursuing nuclear weapons while spreading misinformation in Western media.
Regarding Iran-Lebanon relations, Baghaei clarified that the process of accrediting the new Iranian ambassador to Beirut has been completed and the envoy will soon depart, while the new Lebanese ambassador to Iran is presenting credentials. He also highlighted the Ministry’s economic diplomacy efforts, noting the use of commercial attachés and economic experts abroad to support and facilitate Iran’s foreign trade and economic activities.
