IRGC Pays Tribute to Abu Obeida, Says Resistance Holds the Future

ALWAGHT- The IRGC has paid tribute to Abu Obeida following his martyrdom, describing the assassination as evidence of Israel’s military desperation and asserting that the future belongs to the Resistance.

The IRGC issued a statement on Wednesday offering condolences following the martyrdom of Abu Obeida, spokesperson for the Qassam Brigades, who was killed along with members of his family and other resistance fighters. The Qassam Brigades announced his death on Monday, attributing it to an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City earlier this year.

The statement described the killing as a reflection of the resilience of the Palestinian Resistance and praised Abu Obeida’s role as a central voice of the struggle, saying his messaging highlighted battlefield developments and challenged Israeli narratives. The IRGC portrayed the assassination as evidence of Israeli military weakness rather than strength.

The IRGC asserted that the Resistance will endure and expand, citing the growing global reach of its discourse, including in Western societies. It concluded by reaffirming its commitment to continuing this path until what it described as the full liberation of al-Quds.
