ALWAGHT- The President of Iran emphasized: With the support of the proud nation and the powerful armed forces of Islamic Iran, I assert that any new adventure against the interests of the Iranian nation will be met with a heavier and more regrettable response.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, in response to Iran’s armed forces' historical, powerful, and triumphant operation against the Zionist regime's hostile actions towards the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the military attack on April 1st against Iran’s embassy in Damascus, stated: "Last night, the brave and valiant members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in collaboration and coordination with all of the country's defense and political sectors, began a new chapter in Iran's history of strength and taught the Zionist enemy a lesson.

In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful,
Great and proud nation of Iran,
Last night, your brave and courageous sons in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, working with all the country's defense and political bodies, marked a new milestone in Iran's strength and taught the Zionist enemy a lesson. The punishment of the aggressor, which fulfilled the wise Leader of the Islamic Revolution's true promise, has been realized.
The proud armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran conducted a precise and combined military operation against military targets of the Zionist occupation regime in the occupied Palestinian territories. This defensive action, which upholds Iran's inherent right to self-defense, was in response to the Zionist regime's aggressive actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran's goals and interests, particularly the military attack on April 1st this year on the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, resulting in the martyrdom of several of our country's distinguished warriors.
The combined operation last night sent a message of power and deterrence to the Islamic community and instilled fear and humiliation in the enemies of humanity."
In the past six months, and especially in the last ten days, the Islamic Republic of Iran has leveraged all regional and international avenues to alert the global community to the severe risks stemming from the UN Security Council's failure to address the Zionist regime's continuous breaches of international law. Regrettably, the Security Council, swayed by the United States and other supporters of the Zionist regime, has not fulfilled its obligations.
The careful and decisive measures taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran to protect its sovereignty, integrity, and national interests serve to hold the aggressor accountable and bring stability to the region. In its initial response, Iran targeted specific military bases of the occupying regime that threaten security and stability with drone and missile attacks.
The Islamic Republic of Iran views peace and stability in its surrounding region as crucial for its national security and has consistently strived to uphold and restore peace and stability. It has become increasingly evident to any impartial observer that the actions of the Zionist regime, as an occupying, terrorist, and racist force that abides by no legal, moral, or human codes, and that has waged a genocide against Palestinians and further destabilized the region and the world with support from the United States and certain other Western nations over the past six months, constitute an immediate and persistent threat to regional peace and security.
The influence of the Islamic Republic of Iran bolsters regional security and aids in defending the interests of neighboring countries and their peoples. Iran remains dedicated to strengthening neighborly ties and cultivating cooperation and friendship with its surrounding nations. All individuals in the region, regardless of faith or beliefs, deserve to live in peace and harmony. Sadly, the transgressions of the occupying, expansionist, and racist regime have denied our region this privilege for decades.
"Resistance" is the key to reestablishing peace and security in the region while opposing any form of occupation and terrorism. The Islamic Republic of Iran attributes the roots of the crisis in the region to the Zionist regime's genocide and violence and is committed to ensuring stability and security in the region.
Under the guidance of Imam Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and with the support of the proud Iranian people and the strong-armed forces of Islamic Iran, I assert that any new attempt against the interests of the Iranian nation will provoke a stronger and more regrettable response from the Islamic Republic of Iran. The courageous members of the armed forces are vigilantly monitoring regional developments and will respond with greater decisiveness and force if the Zionist regime or its supporters act recklessly.
We urge supporters of the occupying regime to recognize this prudent and measured stance taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran and to end their unthinking support for the aggressive Zionist regime, which has emboldened it to escalate lawlessness and dismiss international laws and standards.
We honor the proud and selfless soldiers and guards of our beloved Iran, as well as the great martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in defense of our nation's pride and integrity. We stress that the steadfast protection of Iran from external threats is a product of the unity and collaboration of every member of the esteemed Iranian nation, as well as the bravery of the courageous Guards and the heroism of the valiant Army.
