ALWAGHT- Israeli strikes across Gaza have left at least 78 Palestinians dead, including aid seekers, as the regime seeks to stall ceasefire negotiations amid a deepening humanitarian crisis.
Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip have killed dozens of Palestinians in recent days, with attacks hitting residential areas, refugee camps, and aid distribution points. Strikes near al-Shati and Zarqa neighborhoods in Gaza City, as well as Tal al-Hawa and al-Zeitoun, left numerous civilians dead or injured, while destruction in Rafah, Khan Yunis, and Bureij refugee camp further added to the mounting toll. Civil defense teams were often unable to reach bombed sites due to ongoing bombardments and blocked access.
The intensified assault coincides with stalled ceasefire talks in Qatar, where Israel’s refusal to withdraw forces from Gaza has hindered progress. Amid continued Israeli attacks, UN agencies warn of worsening famine and the collapse of healthcare, as fuel shortages have shut down desalination plants, water pumps, and medical facilities. The humanitarian crisis is deepening, with Gaza’s population facing critical shortages of basic necessities.
Since resuming its offensive on March 18, Israel has killed over 7,500 Palestinians and injured more than 27,000. The overall death toll since October 2023 has now surpassed 58,000, with over 139,000 wounded. At least 10,000 people remain missing, believed buried under rubble. The vast majority of casualties are women and children, as relentless bombardments continue with no sign of a ceasefire.
