Alwaght- Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani said in a Twitter message that Tehran will resume with the world powers the nuclear talks on November 29, with the main focusing being lifting the sanctions on Iran.
“In a phone call with @enriquemora, we agreed to start the negotiations aiming at removal of unlawful and inhumane sanctions on November 29 in Vienna.
Kani had met the European foreign policy chief Enrique Mora on October 27 in Brussels where they discussued the preparations for resumption of talks.
Kani, who is also the deputy foreign minister, affirmed at the time that Iran was determined to conduct negotiations that would lead to the complete and effective lifting of the “unjust and illegal embargo”, and ensure the normalization of world trade and economic relations with Iran and provide legal guarantees that there would be no further breach of the 2015 nuclear deal by Washington.
The US under Donald Trump withdrew from the hard-won nuclear agreement in May 2018 and reinstated all the sanctions that were suspended in return for limits on the Iranian uranium enrichment.
In response, Iran set a timetable for steps reducing its commitments to the agreement.
The Biden administration said it was ready to return to the deal, but made no moves to ease Iran sanctions.
The new Iranian government said that it will agree to talks only if the West lifts the sanctions and promises no more violations.
So far, six rounds were held discussing the US return.
