Thousands Protest Nationwide in US Against Trump and Musk Policies

ALWAGHT- On Saturday, demonstrators in every US state took to the streets to protest against policies tied to President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, with over 1,200 rallies taking place across the country.

Thousands of demonstrators gathered across the United States on Saturday in a sweeping protest against former President Donald Trump and tech executive Elon Musk. More than 1,200 rallies took place in all 50 states, with major turnouts in Washington D.C., New York City, and West Palm Beach, Florida. The "Hands Off!" protests targeted Trump’s policies on human rights, government downsizing, and economic issues, while also criticizing Musk's role in government restructuring through the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

In D.C., protesters gathered near the Washington Monument, carrying signs that read “Make democracy great again” and “Stop Putin's puppets from destroying America.” Many criticized Musk’s influence on public institutions, with concerns over education, immigration, and recent tariffs. Demonstrators also showed solidarity with international causes, waving Ukrainian flags and Palestinian keffiyehs, emphasizing broader concerns over global justice and domestic policy shifts.

From Manhattan to Salt Lake City and Columbus to West Palm Beach, crowds marched through rain and sun, voicing frustration over the current political climate. In Florida, while Trump played golf, hundreds gathered nearby with signs like “Markets tank, Trump golfs,” drawing attention to perceived government neglect. Despite the widespread turnout, the White House indicated Trump would continue his weekend golf routine.
