Switzerland Prepared to Play a Role in Iran-US Negotiations

ALWAGHT- The Swiss foreign minister affirmed his country’s willingness to assist in the negotiations between Iran and the US.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis held a phone conversation on Sunday, during which they discussed international developments and bilateral relations between Iran and Switzerland.

Cassis expressed Switzerland’s readiness to assist in the ongoing indirect talks between Iran and the US. He also welcomed the discussions aimed at resolving issues related to Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions.

Araghchi acknowledged Switzerland's significant role in past nuclear negotiations and updated Cassis on the latest rounds of talks between Iran and the US, which have been held in Muscat and Rome. He confirmed that technical discussions will continue in Oman on April 23, followed by high-level talks on April 26.
