Bahraini Royal in Tel Aviv, Meets Israeli Regime’s Minister Ignoring Palestinians’ Plight

Alwaght- A high ranking Bahraini prince has visited Tel Aviv and met with an Israeli regime’s minister, in yet another move by the Persian Gulf state to normalize ties with the regime while ignoring the plight of Palestinians.

Prince Mubarak Al Khalifa on Sunday met with Israeli regime’s communications minister Ayoub Kara, who announced the royal would visit the regime’s legislative body.

"I openly met for the first time in Tel Aviv with Bahraini Prince Mubarak Al Khalifa to strengthen the ties between the two countries. On Monday, I will have the honor of hosting him at the Knesset," Kara said on Twitter, accompanied with an image of the pair.

The prince told the Zionist daily Maariv that his visit to the Israeli entity was unofficial, but said he hoped relations between the Persian Gulf state and Tel Aviv would improve.

"I have come here for a private visit. My best friends in London and Paris are Israelis. I came here to visit a friend," he said.

"Israel is very nice to me. I am here for a 10-day visit," he said.

The visit comes amid speculation that Bahrain could become the first Persian Gulf state to normalize relations with the Israeli entity.

In December, a Bahraini regime’s delegation visited Israel amid widespread demonstrations and condemnation over US President Donald Trump’s controversial declaration of recognizing the occupied al-Quds as the Israeli regime’s capital

Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa has reportedly said he has grown "tired" of Arab states' boycott of the usurper Israeli regime and called for diplomatic ties to be established between the two regimes.

In neighboring Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is using influential figures in the kingdom to prepare the public opinion to accept official ties with the Israeli regime.

Arab states led by Saudi Arabia are warming up to the Israeli regime at the expense of Palestinians who are struggling to liberate their lands, particularly the al-Aqsa Mosque-the third holiest site in Islam, currently under the occupation of the Israelis.
