ALWAGHT- The spokesman and deputy chairman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) stated that Iran remains steadfast in protecting its rights and is prepared to resume JCPOA commitments if those rights are upheld.
Behrouz Kamalvandi stated on Sunday that Iran was compelled to suspend part of its nuclear commitments after the US unilaterally withdrew from the agreement. He emphasized that this decision came a year after Washington’s exit, once it became clear that the situation would not change.
Reaffirming Iran’s willingness to return to its commitments, Kamalvandi stressed that this would only happen if Iran’s rights were fully respected. He underscored the country's determination to uphold its position despite the pressures, acknowledging the costs involved but asserting that Iran would ultimately prevail.
Addressing accusations against Iran’s nuclear program, he pointed out that the country has undergone the most rigorous inspections in the world. He emphasized that no other nation faces such intense scrutiny, rejecting claims that Iran's nuclear activities are unpeaceful.
