ALWAGHT- A senior Ansarullah official criticized the fighting between Saudi-backed government forces and UAE-allied STC militants in southern Yemen, cautioning that the proxy struggle is deliberately aimed at enabling Israeli control over the oil-rich area.
Mohammed al-Farah of Ansarullah accused UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council militants of advancing a foreign-engineered agenda in Hadramout, warning their actions undermine Yemen’s national interests and promote division while turning the energy-rich region into a lawless zone serving external and Israeli interests.
He said Saudi Arabia and the UAE are occupying Yemeni territory and exploiting its natural resources through local proxies, rejecting all foreign intervention and insisting that any political or military initiative must be grounded in Yemen’s full sovereignty, independent decision-making, and control over its land and resources.
Farah also dismissed Israeli threats and said Yemen would not be deterred from supporting Palestine, stressing that resistance to Israeli projects and opposition to occupation and aggression remain core unifying principles for Yemenis, despite continued US- and Israeli-led strikes on Sana’a.
