ALWAGHT- A high-ranking Iranian military official accused Israel of employing intimidation, political moves, and media efforts to cover up a major defeat resulting from its illegal actions against Iran earlier this year.
Deputy Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said Israel is resorting to psychological warfare and media narratives to distort realities on the ground, following reports that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu plans to present options for a renewed attack on Iran to US President Donald Trump.
Vahidi said Israel failed to achieve any of its objectives during the 12-day war against Iran and is now struggling with isolation and deep internal and strategic challenges. He added that Israeli threats and propaganda efforts are unlikely to change realities.
The conflict, which lasted from June 13 to 24, resulted in the deaths of at least 1,064 people in Iran and included attacks on civilian infrastructure. The United States joined Israel on June 22 by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites, but Iran later forced a halt to the offensive through retaliatory strikes.
Iranian officials say damage to Iran’s missile capabilities was minimal, with senior IRGC figures stating that less than three percent of missile launchers were destroyed. Tehran has warned that any new act of aggression would trigger a decisive and forceful response.
