ALWAGHT- Across the West Bank, Israeli occupation forces launched large-scale operations, detaining multiple individuals and killing two in Jenin.
Israeli occupation forces carried out extensive raids across the West Bank, targeting multiple towns and villages with home invasions, searches, arrests, and temporary detentions. Specific incidents included the detention of four Palestinians in Silwad, assaults in Areeha and Aqbat Jabr Camp, and raids in Jenin, Qalqilya, Nablus, Turmusaya, and surrounding villages, with checkpoints set up to intercept Palestinians in transit.
Over the weekend, Israeli gunfire killed two Palestinians, including a teenager, in Jenin and injured others in Tulkarm and al-Quds. Since October 7, 2023, more than 1,102 Palestinians have been killed, around 11,000 injured, and over 21,000 detained in the West Bank. The raids underscore ongoing violence and instability affecting Palestinian communities under Israeli military authority.
These operations form part of a broader pattern of systemic Israeli measures, including home demolitions, land seizures, movement restrictions, and settler violence, which human rights organizations describe as advancing a de facto annexation of the West Bank. The combination of military operations, settlement expansion, and infrastructural control continues to disrupt civilian life, displace communities, and entrench long-term instability in the occupied territories.
