ALWAGHT- Highlighting the role of efficient management and logistics, President Masoud Pezeshkian urged the establishment of a unified transportation network to support the country’s development.
At a Transport Week event in Tehran on Saturday, President Masoud Pezeshkian outlined his administration’s vision for developing Iran’s transportation infrastructure, emphasizing the need for a scientific, integrated, and forward-looking approach across road, rail, urban, air, and maritime networks. He stressed that a unified management system is essential to ensure coordination and efficiency.
Pezeshkian highlighted lessons from global experiences, noting that all modes of transportation should operate under a coherent system with centralized policymaking. He added that his administration is working on designing and implementing a single transportation management model to achieve this goal.
Other officials, including Road Minister Farzaneh Sadegh, also spoke at the event, introducing the national system “Gozar” aimed at improving planning and coordination. Efforts are being made to position Iran as a regional logistics and transit hub, while removing legal obstacles for private sector participation in transportation and transit development.
