US Outrageously Blaming Iran for 9/11 to Protect Saudis

US Outrageously Blaming Iran for 9/11 to Protect Saudis

Alwaght- A recent United States court ruling blaming Iran over the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks has been censured for being outrageous, absurd and ridiculous and intended to protect the Saudi regime.

Last week Iran was ordered by a US judge to pay more than $10.5 billion in damages to families of people killed on 9/11 and to a group of insurers. US district judge George Daniels issued the judgment in New York, claiming Iran has failed to defend itself against allegations of involvement in the attacks.

The court ruling is based on the 9/11 Commission Report which stated that some attackers moved through Iran and did not have their passports stamped. The verdict comes as none of the 19 hijackers on September 11 were Iranian citizens. Fifteen were from Saudi Arabia, while two from the United Arab Emirates and one each from Egypt and Lebanon.

Saudi Arabia was legally cleared from paying damages to the families of 9/11 victims last year, after Judge Daniels dismissed accounts that the Persian Gulf monarchy provided material support to the terrorists and ruled that Riyadh had sovereign immunity. Reacting to the utterly surprising ruling, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman termed it as unjust, ridiculous and absurd.

Hossein Jaberi Ansari strongly condemned the ruling and described it as “the latest product of the US Judicial system in the race for blindly following Zionist Iranophobic scenarios.”

Jaberi Ansari said that such rulings also send a “highly dangerous and meaningful message” to terrorists and their allies that “you may feel free to continue killing American people and others in the world because not only are we not going to hunt you but in response to your crimes, we will target your strongest and most effective enemies.”

The spokesman further expressed regret that the US State Department in an “illogical, incorrect and immoral” approach has for years placed Iran on its so-called list of sponsors of terrorism.

“This move has formed the basis for the dismissal of all principles of fair trials or even common sense in political ruling issued by certain US courts,” he said.

“Although these unjust orders are apparently directed at the Iranian nation and government,” Jaberi Ansari said, ultimately it is the American people and families of the 9/11 victims whose rights will be violated as a result of these completely “misleading” court orders.

Meanwhile Russia says it was “surprised” by a US court ruling against Iran over the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.

“I am lawfully surprised: what did the Americans do in Afghanistan for 15 years, if Iran is to blame for everything?” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

Analysts say the anti-Iran ruling completely destroys the credibility of the US judicial system.

The US government blames 9/11 on Iran, and only on Iran (not at all on the Saudis and their Wahhabi friends). However, according to Zacarias Moussaoui was the bookkeeper and bagman (money-collector) for Al Qaeda — the man who travelled to collect in cash each one of the multi-million-dollar donations to Al Qaeda, with which donations the organization paid, as he said, the “salaries” of all of the fighters, including all of the 9/11 hijackers — almost all of the donors were members of the Saudi royal family, and a few of their friends.

It is public knowledge that among the named multimillion-dollar donors were: King Salman, Prince Bandar bin Sultan al-Saud, Prince Waleed bin Talal al-Saud, Prince Turki al-Faisal al-Saud, and Prince Mohammed al-Faisal al-Saud, and Saudi Wahabbi clerics such as Shaykh Bin Baz, Shaykh Uthaimeen, Shaykh Shehri, and Shaykh Hammoud al-Uqlaa.

Media interest in Saudi Arabian connections to the crimes of 9/11 has been centered on calls for the release of the 28 missing pages from the Joint Congressional Inquiry’s report. However, those calls focus on the question of hijacker financing and omit the most interesting links between the 9/11 attacks and Saudi Arabia—links that implicate powerful people in the United States. US and Saudi leaders a playing a game of deception in what they claims is war on terror and blaming Iran is part of their ongoing project of Iranophobia.

Leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has also promised to reveal long withheld details about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Speaking at a Feb. 10 rally in Bluffton, South Carolina, the GOP candidate declared: “It wasn’t the Iraqis that knocked down the World Trade Center.” “You will find out who really knocked down the World Trade Center” if he’s president, he said, “Because they have papers in there that are very secret. You may find it’s the Saudis.” Although he didn’t specify it during the speech, Trump was likely alluding to 28 classified pages. There is a growing movement demanding the release of the classified documents which will reveal direct Saudi involvement in the 9/11 attacks.
