Israeli Rabbi Depicts Killing Palestinians as Religious Duty

Israeli Rabbi Depicts Killing Palestinians as Religious Duty

Alwaght- Chief Israeli Rabbi Sephardi Yitzhak Yosef said Israeli forces should  kill knife-wielding Palestinians outrightnot and should not fear courts or the opinions of security chiefs.

"If a terrorist shows up with a knife, it is commanded [by Jewish law] to kill him,” timesofisrael.com cited hardliner Yosef as saying in Yazadim Synagogue in al-Quds (Jerusalem) during Saturday morning prayers.

Tel Aviv Regime's chief Rabbi cautioned Israelis not to be concerned by what he suggested were the vicissitudes of judges or generals. When faced with a knife-wielding Palestinian, “don’t start worrying that someone will take you to the High Court of Justice, or that some chief of staff will say otherwise.”

Yosef then suggested the terrorist’s death served as a deterrent to future attacks, and not just as a means of neutralizing an immediate threat.

"As soon as the terrorist knows that [if] he comes at you with a knife he doesn’t return from that alive, it will deter them. Therefore it is a mitzvah [commandment] to kill him.”

The extremist Rabbi's words came after the head of the Israeli regime army Eisenkot called on forces to remain calm during attacks and do not to use unnecessary force.

"When there's a 13-year-old girl holding scissors or a knife and there is some distance between her and the soldiers, I don't want to see a soldier open fire and empty his magazine at a girl like that," the general had said on February 17.

Nearly 190 Palestinians and over 30 Zionist have now been killed across the occupied territories since October last year following the start of   the third Palestinian Intifada or uprising.
