Saudi‘s FM Warns Russia about Possible Internal Crisis

Saudi‘s FM Warns Russia about Possible Internal Crisis

Alwaght- Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir indirectly warned Russia about a religious war that may be ignited by their supports for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“Is Russia giving this impression that it is fighting in Syria on the side of Shiites while there are 20million Sunni Muslims in the country?” al-Jubair told German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitungin.

Threatening Moscow of an internal crisis, Saudi Arabia's inexperienced foreign minister warned that Russia's support for Syria's Alawites (Sect of Shiite Muslim) would lead to unification of its own Sunni Muslim minority against Moscow.

Al-Jubair also in his interview which was published on Saturday claimed that Bashar al-Assad will not be ruling Syria in the future and Russia's military interventions will not help him stay in power.

"There will be no Bashar al-Assad in the future," He said.

"It might take three months, it might take six months or three years - but he will no longer carry responsibility for Syria. Period."

To achieve its goals, Saudi pays billions of its petrodollars to regional or transregional powers to buy their supports, but when bribe does not work, the oil-rich country's regime tries to intimidate them. As the Arab Persian gulf country is not able pose any serious threat to such countries, Saudi Arabia resorts to its proxies, Wahhabi groups, who are supported by al Saud all over the world.
