Turkey Protesters: Yankee Go Home

Alwaght-Turkish demonstrators took to the streets to protest against American intervention into country’s affairs. According to Sputnik, More than 300 Turkish demonstrators of the Young Association group took to the streets calling on America not to intervene in their country's affairs.

"We are protesting against the US intervention into the affairs of our country and the whole region," the group's leader Cagdas Cengiz was quoted as saying by the Dogan news agency in a statement at the rally on Saturday.

The Young Association leader stressed that the protesters "have gathered to send a message to the American imperialists and the whole world."

The demonstrators also protested the official visit of Amercia's Vice President Joe Biden to Istanbul.

Biden paid a three-day visit to discuss with Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan the situation in the region and the cooperation to combat the Islamic State extremist group.

Last week, the Young Association protesters attacked three sailors in Istanbul, while chanting "Yankee, go home!" They also threw red paint at the sailors and managed to put white sacks at their heads. According to the protest organizers, they sought the aim to respond to the America operation staged against Turkish soldiers based in Iraq's city Sulaymaniyah in 2003. As a result, 11 Turkish soldiers were taken hostage with sacks over their heads.
