Alwaght - The armed wing of Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades, has claimed responsibility for the Friday's attack on Zionist settlers near the illegal settlement of Dolev, west of Ramallah.
Israeli regime occupied West Bank and East al-Quds since the 1967 Middle East war.
"Al-Qassam Brigades, the groups of martyrs Marwan al-Qawasmeh and Amer Abu Aisha, declares that they have carried out the operation today (Friday), which led to the killing of one Zionist settler and wounded another," Palinfo.com cited a communique released by the Brigades said.
According to the announcement, the shooting happened at point-blank range during a well-prepared ambush.
The Brigades said the operation was carried out in retaliation to Israeli regime's ongoing crimes against the Palestinians in the West Bank and its recent killing of citizens.
"One of the wounded arrived with no vital signs and the medical team pronounced him dead. The other man is lightly wounded and is receiving treatment," a spokeswoman for the Sheba Medical Centre hospital said.
