Vandals Desecrate Holy Qur’an in Bahraini Mosque

Alwaght-Unidentified vandals have attacked a mosque in Bahrain and desecrated the Holy Quran as the Manama regime continues it suppression of Muslims in the tiny Persian Gulf kingdom. According to Bahrain Mirror news website, Holy Qur’an and supplication books were torn into pieces while the al-Khafif Mosque in al-Dayr village was vandalized during the Thursday incident. Local residents  realized there was an attack attack after entering the mosque early in the morning for Fajr Prayers.
Concerns about  safety  of Shia Muslims in Bahrain have been growing since two terrorist attacks by ISIS Takfiri group in neighboring Saudi Arabia where several  Shia worshippers have been martyred.
One of the attacks took place on Friday, May 27, close to Imam Hussein (AS) Mosque in the provincial capital of Dammam, located about 400 kilometers (250 miles) east of the capital, Riyadh.
A week earlier, a bombing hit Imam Ali AS mosque in the al-Qudaih village in the province’s Qatif district, killing 21 worshipers, including two children. The Takfiri ISIL terrorist group claimed responsibility for both.
In Bahrain, popular committees have been formed to ensure security in mosques but the ruling regime is impeding their activities by summoning and interrogating their members.
Bahrain has been witnessing almost daily protests against the ruling Al Khalifa dynasty since early 2011, with Manama using heavy-handed measures in an attempt to crush the demonstrations.
Scores of Bahrainis have been killed and hundreds of others injured and arrested in the ongoing crackdown on the peaceful demonstrations.
