Alwaght- The buses carrying humiliated al-Nusra Front terrorists from Lebanon’s Arsal border region into Syria’s Idlib set off and passed under Lebanon and Hezbollah flags.
Nearly 7777 people are to leave Arsal and its outskirts as part of a swap deal between Hezbollah and Nusra Front terrorist group, Hezbollah Military Media Center reported on Wednesday.
The Military Media Center classified the evacuees according to areas they have been stationing in, saying the first group consists of 6217 people including 116 terrorists.
The first group includes people who are in areas controlled by the Lebanese army, according to the Military Media Center.
The second group is stationed in area that is not controlled by the army and consists of 1560 people including 1000 militants, the Media Military Center added.
Sources indicate that al-Nusra terrorists torched their positions in Arsal outskirts before their departure, noting that such a move is a positive sign that the evacuation operation is on the right track.
The evacuees are leaving the Lebanese border area to Syria’s Aleppo and then to Idlib, as part of a swap deal between Hezbollah and Nusra.
The evacuation operation is the latest stage of the swap agreement that saw exchange of bodies of Hezbollah fighters and corpses of killed al-Nusra terrorists on Sunday. Later on Tuesday Hezbollah captives were exchanged for al-Nusra Front prisoners in Lebanese jails.
The deal followed a wide-scale operation launched by Hezbollah to cleanse Arsal outskirts of Nusra terrorists.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is scheduled to deliver a televised speech on Thursday night to tackle the situations following the completion of Arsal victory.
Two weeks ago the Syrian army and Lebanon’s Hezbollah fighters launched a joint operation against Takfiri terrorist group in border areas between the two countries. The operation resulted in victory of the resistance forces and humiliation of the terrorists.
The Arsal area was hit by the spillover of the Syria crisis in 2014, when the terrorists overrun the town for a brief period.
