Alwaght- Yemeni resistance forces have seized yet another Saudi Arabian military based in the volatile border region of Najran.
According to Yemen's Al Masirah TV, the base was captured on Thursday in the latest retaliatory attack by Yemeni forces amid an ongoing brutal Saudi-led military aggression against its impoverished southern neighbor.
Reports say Yemeni Army and local allied forces stormed the newly-constructed Shatib base some 844 km south of the capital Riyadh and in the ensuing exchange of gunfire, several Saudi troops were killed and many injured while others abandoned the base. Local sources say the fleeing Saudi troops left their assault rifles and other weapons.
On Monday also, Yemeni army forces and allied fighters from Popular Committees captured two military bases in the mountainous northern part of Najran.
The Saudi regime started its deadly aggression against Yemen since March 2015 in an attempt to bring back the former Yemeni government to power and undermine the Ansarullah movement.
The war has left at least 11,400 civilians dead, according to a latest tally by a Yemeni monitoring group.
The US military has been providing logistical support and aerial refueling to Saudi war planes engaged in the bloody war against Yemeni civilians.
The British government is also training Saudi pilots in both the oil-rich kingdom and Britain, The Independent daily revealed in October. London is also one of the biggest arms suppliers to Riyadh, including cluster bombs which have been used in Yemen.
The regime in Riyadh has come under international criticism due to the large number casualties and destruction which its war has brought on Yemen.
