Alwaght- Mainly Muslim Populated West and Central Asian regions, Particularly Iraq, Syria and Iraq, have been gripped by terrorism and extremism that has claimed lives of millions of people.
Regarding the fact that most of the fundamentalist terrorist groups, including al-Qaeda, Taliban and ISIS, are either based in these regions or are inspired by these terror organizations, international community may consider Islam as the main reason behind rise of hem.
However, while many westerners blame Islam for the rise of terrorism across the world they fail to understand that Muslims are the major targets of this evil phenomenon.
Many political analysts believe that most of these terror groups were founded and supported by some colonialist powers to be used as an apparatus to fulfill their interests in the rich and strategic regions of West and Central Asia.
Alwaght has conducted an interview with Mark Glenn, an American political analyst, with a focus on one of the most violent terrorist groups Islamic state of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) to shed more light on reasons behind these terrors, crimes, and humanitarian disasters over the region.
Alwaght: How did ISIS emerge and who is funding this terrorist group?
Glenn: Just as lung cancer cannot be understood without first understanding cigarettes, nor can alcoholism be understood while leaving alcohol out of the discussion, likewise one cannot understand all the chaos and instability taking place in the Middle East and beyond without first understanding Israel, what she is, and what her goals in the region are.
That the US and the West are/have been used by organized Zionist interests in the destruction of Iraq, Syria, Libya, etc is not a theory or a question mark, but rather a statement of fact ending with an exclamation point. Of course the question that needs asking and answered is what is Israel's interest in seeing the entire region disrupted, destroyed, and made unstable, and the answer is that Israel as a politically and socially dysfunctional entity, cannot exist in any environment where her neighbors enjoy stable healthy political systems.
This being the case, America and the West were recruited by the Jewish state for the same purpose as the various groups going by names such as Daesh, ISIS, ISIL, etc are being used now, which is to initiate and maintain a reign of terror and chaos in the region. Of course, Israel would prefer that the task be accommodated by utilizing American, British, German, French, troops, etc, but if it is necessary to use ‘Islamic’ groups such as the aforementioned in order to prevent any organized political opposition in western countries whose citizens grow more and more war weary day by day, then so be it.
Alwaght: How did ISIS' crimes help rise of current Islamophobia wave around the world?
Glenn: It is a very difficult line to walk. Much if not most of the non-Muslim world has a negative and inaccurate impression of Islam existing even before 9/11 and events taking place today certainly do not help. I think it is vital that countries that are in the front lines in firing these groups, including Iran, Syria, Lebanon’s Hezbollah and others hammer home the punt on a regular basis that it is the treachery and barbarism of countries such as Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel, the US and others who have created this monster and who are feeding it on a daily basis.
Alwaght: Is ISIS on the verge of collapse? Why do not the US and its allies take any effective measure against ISIS?
Glenn: I don't know how close it is to collapsing. The US and the West have inexhaustible resources they are willing to dedicate towards propping up this beast and they cannot afford to hand countries such as Iran, Syria, Russia, and Lebanon’s Hezbollah such a devastating victory by allowing these terrorist groups to wither away. It would raise the public perception of those countries to a level that would be politically disastrous for Zionism, America, and the West and would lead to a domino effect whereby the Axis of Resistance would gain the upper hand in terms of world opinion.
