Yemen Strikes Ramon Airport Again; Sirens Triggered in Dimona

ALWAGHT- Within 24 hours, the Yemeni Armed Forces struck Ramon Airport again with a drone, while another drone reportedly targeted the Dimona nuclear research facility.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have intensified operations against Israel in support of Palestinians in Gaza and in retaliation for Israeli airstrikes that killed the Yemeni prime minister and several ministers in Sanaa. Recently, a Yemeni drone struck Ramon Airport, causing a powerful explosion and prompting Israeli authorities to close the airspace, while sirens were also triggered in southern Israel, including near the Dimona nuclear research center.

Reports indicate that multiple Yemeni UAVs infiltrated Israeli airspace from different directions, with one drone reportedly targeting Dimona but intercepted. The strike on Ramon Airport halted air traffic and sent sirens across the southern Negev region, reflecting both operational and symbolic impacts. The Yemeni Armed Forces warned aviation companies that airports in the occupied Palestinian territories remain unsafe and will continue to be targeted.

Israeli media emphasized that the attack carries significant symbolic weight, potentially influencing foreign airlines’ decisions to operate in Israel. Analysts noted that the strike could have serious visual and moral repercussions, similar to a May incident when a Yemeni missile hit Ben Gurion Airport, temporarily disrupting foreign airline operations and prompting Israeli authorities to reassure international carriers.
