ALWAGHT- Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, stressed the country’s readiness to defend itself and warned adversaries of potential “strategic surprises” in case of an attack.
Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, marked Sacred Defense Week by recalling the defeat of adversaries in the June 12-day conflict, crediting Iran’s resilience and military strength for thwarting hostile plots. He emphasized that the country would never remain passive in the face of threats, instead using challenges to project power on national, regional, and international levels.
He highlighted the importance of Iran’s indigenous defense industries, regional capacities, and the Armed Forces’ decisive actions in countering aggression. Mousavi stressed that advancing modern technologies, strengthening deterrence, and preparing for hybrid and “cognitive” warfare must remain key priorities for the military.
Reassuring the nation, the senior commander declared that Iran’s Armed Forces are fully prepared to confront threats from arrogant and oppressive powers. He vowed that any aggression would be met with a timely, decisive, and unforgettable response, backed by “strategic surprises.”
