Syrian Army Liberates Palestinian Refugee Camp, Near Aleppo

Army, Palestinian Resistance Purging Terrorists from Handarat Camp in Aleppo

The Syrian army backed by Palestinian volunteers liberated a refugee camp near the Aleppo city on Saturday

Alwaght- The Syrian army backed by Palestinian volunteers liberated a refugee camp north of the Aleppo city on Saturday.

The Handarat refugee camp was taken by terrorist groups fighting the Syrian legitimate government of President Bashar Assad and many Palestinian residents were forced to leave for another refugee camp nearby.

Sources belonging to both the Syrian military and the militants confirmed the recapture of the Handarat camp on Saturday. Syria’s al-Ikhbariya television channel and the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed the capture.

The positions of the terrorist groups were bombarded before the Palestinian volunteers approached the camp in a ground operation.

Some sources have reported 25 killed during the attacks. Damascus had asked the civilians to leave the camp before it started its heavy airstrikes against the militia groups.

The camp is where the US-backed so-called "moderate" groups beheaded a12-year old Palestinian boy.

According to the commander of Liwaa Al-Quds, his forces managed to breach Fatah Halab's front-line defenses at the eastern neighborhoods, forcing the latter to retreat westward amid heavy gunfire and shelling.

With the capture of Handarat Refugee Camp today, several displaced Palestinians can return to their homes after spending more than three years inside the nearby Nayrab Refugee Camp in southern Aleppo.
