ALWAGHT- Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed that, in his view, resistance remains necessary to confront Israel, reclaim occupied territory, support the Palestinian cause, and counter ongoing aggression.
Sheikh Naim Qassem said resistance is necessary to confront Israel and hegemonic powers and remains, in his view, the means to liberate occupied land. Speaking in Pakistan, he cited Lebanon’s experience with resistance and emphasized the continued centrality of the Palestinian cause.
Qassem called for resistance in different forms depending on people’s roles and circumstances, while urging young people to pursue Islamic unity alongside continued resistance. He also described resistance as a response to occupation and aggression across the region.
Addressing the US-Israeli attack on Iran, Qassem said the campaign failed to achieve its stated objective of overthrowing the Islamic Republic’s political system. He argued that continued steadfastness would eventually weaken the opposing side and concluded by calling for perseverance despite the sacrifices involved.
